Bourbon balls are a classic holiday ‘no bake’ bourbon sweet treat! These are boozy, so shoo away the underaged and teetotalers. Don’t forget to chill the bourbon balls before eating them. Chilling is where the magic happens. We can’t explain it – it’s just a fact. Enjoy!
Makes approximately 20 bourbon balls.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 whole package of vanilla wafers, 11 oz box
- 1 cup pecans, toasted
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup Small Batch With Bite™ Bourbon
- 2 ½ tablespoons light corn syrup
- Additional powdered sugar for rolling the balls
DIRECTIONS
- In a food processor pulse vanilla wafers until finely crushed. Add this to a bowl. Add pecans to the food processor and finely crush then add this to the bowl with crushed wafers.
- Add powdered sugar and cocoa powder to the wafers and pecans. Stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl combine bourbon and corn syrup then mix together before mixing into the dry mixture of wafers, pecans. sugar and cocoa. Combine well.
- Place additional powdered sugar in a shallow bowl or plate. Roll bourbon ball dough into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar to coat.
- Do not eat until they have chilled for at least 2 hours. The flavor melds and magic happens in the refrigerator. Place balls in a stored container to chill.
- The bourbon balls can be rolled in powdered sugar again just before serving.
