INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups blueberries
- ice
- 2 oz Two Bitch™ Bourbon
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz blueberry simple syrup
- ginger-ale or club soda
- lemon peel garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Combine ice, bourbon, lemon juice, and *Blueberry Simple Syrup to a shaker. Shake to frost.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice and top with ginger-ale or club soda.
- Garnish with lemon peel.
*BLUEBERRY SIMPLE SYRUP
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar and water.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved .
- Add the blueberries to the pot and boil until the berries begin to deflate – about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool for 5–10 minutes.
- Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
