The Always & Fur-ever Manhattan

Some things never go out of style: a great dog, a good love story, and a properly made Manhattan cocktail.

Stylishly sophisticated, the Manhattan hits every time! Deep golden bourbon, sweet vermouth, a couple dashes of bitters, one very important cherry (maybe two)—and suddenly the sipper exudes style and grace.

Around here, we call ours The Always & Fur-ever Manhattan because love may be patient and love may be kind, but the dog is still getting the middle of the bed.

Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, an anniversary, a new puppy, or simply making it through another family gathering without saying what you were thinking, this classic bourbon cocktail is worthy of the bourbon. ;)

Ingredients

2 oz Two Bitch™ Bourbon

1 oz sweet vermouth

2 dashes aromatic bitters

1 cocktail cherry, for garnish

Ice, for stirring

Instructions

1. Fill a mixing glass with ice.

2. Add the Two Bitch™ Bourbon, sweet vermouth, and aromatic bitters.

3. Stir for about 20–30 seconds, until beautifully chilled and properly diluted.

4. Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass.

5. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.

6. Raise your glass to love, loyalty, good bourbon, and whichever dog is currently covered in something mysterious.

A Cocktail Worth Committing To

A great Manhattan is balanced, smooth, slightly sweet, beautifully boozy, and considerably less complicated than planning a wedding.

And unlike some relationships, this one requires very little work: bourbon, vermouth, bitters, stir.
