Bring home a genuine piece of the Two Bitch™ Bourbon story with our Boujee Barrel Staves. Each order includes 10 authentic oak barrel staves that previously held and aged real Two Bitch™ Bourbon for years.
Why are they boujee? Because these are not ordinary scraps of wood. They spent years soaking up the rich character, color and aroma of Two Bitch™ Bourbon. The charred interiors may still carry notes of oak, vanilla, caramel, toasted sugar and, of course, seriously good bourbon. They smell divine—and they have the battle scars to prove they lived a very important life.
Perfect for woodworking, bourbon-bar décor, wedding displays, signs, shelves, centerpieces and one-of-a-kind gifts, every stave is naturally unique. Expect authentic variations in width, curvature, char, grain, staining, markings and overall appearance.

Each order contains:
- 10 authentic Two Bitch™ Bourbon barrel staves
- Genuine used oak from barrels that aged Two Bitch™ Bourbon
- A naturally curved barrel shape
- A charred interior surface
- Authentic bourbon staining, aroma, wear and character
- A mixture of stave widths ranging from approximately 2 to 5 inches
Widths are selected at random based on available staves. Specific widths, matching widths or an exact assortment cannot be guaranteed.
Approximate Bourbon Barrel Stave Dimensions
Because bourbon barrels are handcrafted and every stave is shaped to fit its original barrel, measurements will vary.
Typical stave measurements are approximately:
- Length: 35 to 37 inches
- Width: 2 to 5 inches
- Thickness: Approximately 1 inch
- Curvature: Varies by the stave’s original position within the barrel
- Approximate bundle weight: 20 to 30 pounds for 10 staves
Weight can vary considerably depending on stave width, oak density, moisture content and the amount of char remaining on the wood. Used whiskey-barrel staves commonly measure around 35 to 37 inches long and approximately 1 inch thick, although no two are exactly alike.

- Loose surface char
- Dark bourbon staining
- Small cracks or splits
- Nail or hoop marks
- Rough edges
- Uneven ends
- Natural knots and grain variation
- Distillery or barrel markings
- Differences in color and curvature
- A noticeable oak-and-bourbon aroma
These characteristics are not defects. They are part of the stave’s authentic history and make every project completely unique.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these real bourbon barrel staves?
Yes. These are authentic staves removed from oak barrels that held and aged Two Bitch™ Bourbon. They are not reproductions, decorative imitations or newly manufactured boards.
Why are they called Boujee Barrel Staves?
Because they spent years holding authentic Two Bitch™ Bourbon—and frankly, that is a much more glamorous résumé than most pieces of wood can claim.
Will all 10 staves be the same width?
No. Stave widths will generally range from approximately 2 to 5 inches. The assortment will vary, and matching widths or specific sizes cannot be guaranteed.
Will my staves look exactly like the product photos?
No two barrel staves are identical. Color, char, grain, width, curvature, markings and wear will vary. Product photos should be considered examples of the authentic character you can expect.
Do the staves still smell like bourbon?
Many staves retain a rich oak-and-bourbon aroma, especially on the charred interior. The intensity will vary and may gradually fade after the staves are exposed to air, sanded or sealed.
Are the staves cleaned?
The staves are sold with their authentic barrel character intact. They may contain loose char, dust or residue from the aging and barrel-disassembly process. Some projects may require brushing, wiping, sanding or additional preparation.
Should I sand the staves?
That depends on your project. Sanding the exterior can create a smoother working surface while preserving the darker charred side. Always wear eye protection, gloves and an appropriate dust mask when sanding or cutting used barrel wood.
Can I seal the bourbon aroma into the wood?
A clear wood sealer or polyurethane can help preserve the appearance of the stave, but sealing may reduce or alter the natural bourbon aroma. Test your chosen finish on a small area first.
Can I use the staves for food preparation?
These staves are sold as reclaimed craft and décor materials. They are not sold as certified food-contact surfaces. Do not use them as cutting boards, direct food-preparation surfaces or drinking vessels without appropriate professional preparation and a food-safe finish.
Can I use them outdoors?
Yes, but untreated oak will continue to weather, fade, crack and change when exposed to moisture and sunlight. Outdoor projects should be properly dried, prepared and sealed with a finish intended for exterior wood.
Can I request a stave with a bung hole?
Bung-hole staves may occasionally be available, but they are not guaranteed unless specifically offered as a separate product option.
Are they suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Simple projects such as signs, bottle displays, hooks and centerpieces can require minimal woodworking experience. More complex projects may require cutting tools, clamps and knowledge of how to work with naturally curved hardwood.
Are the edges sharp or rough?
They can be. These are authentic reclaimed barrel components and may have rough edges, splinters, cracks or loose char. Handle them with gloves and inspect each stave before beginning your project.
Please Note
These are naturally aged, reclaimed barrel staves. Exact dimensions, appearance, aroma and weight will vary. No guarantees are made regarding matching widths, matching curvature, perfectly straight edges or the absence of cracks, marks, char and other authentic signs of use.
They held the bourbon. They earned the scars. Now they are ready for their next glorious assignment.
